God’s Timing

A lot has been going on in my life since my last post in August, and I would be remised if I did not apologize to those of you who have been waiting to hear from me. When I started this blog, it was my intention, to post monthly. However, life has a way of twisting and turning you in directions you never anticipated going. Although some of the twist have been quite challenging, I must say, some have also been quite exciting, and others have helped me to clearly see that God’s timing is perfect!

As I started to write a blog for September, I found myself unable to complete it. I seemed to be experiencing writers block or something (“a condition in which a writer loses the ability to produce new work or experiences a creative slowdown”) Not to mention, other personal and professional priorities began to demand my attention. As I struggled to focus and write, I began to ask the Lord, “did I start this blog on my own, or did you truly lead me to use this platform to rebirth the gift you gave me, for your glory?” I just couldn’t figure out why my time to write was being limited and when I was able to sit down to write, the words were just not flowing. Well, God answered my question.

You see my beloved, it wasn’t God that decided that this blog would be posted monthly, it was me. In my finite mind, I thought monthly made sense, because of my schedule. However, God does not work on my schedule. I was trying to force the words to come together to meet a deadline that I created, yet all He wants is for me to allow His will to be done. He desires that I completely trust Him. He leads and I follow. I must write and share in His timing, so that the message meets the reader right in their time of need.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” When we trust God and His timing, we can be assured that things will work out for good. It’s not easy, and many times we will fall short. Still, let us all speak the Word over our lives, and learn to trust God’s timing.

Now, I can’t tell you when I will be posting again; hopefully sooner than later. What I will tell you is, when I do, the timing will be just right!
