Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before. I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13-14 (KJV)
Hello and Welcome to More Like Jesus.
More Like Jesus is a blog site where I post stories of how God’s word, His divine direction and the comfort and correction of the Holy Spirit strengthens me to press through and overcome the trials of life, celebrate the triumphs and enjoy the tranquility of being connected to God through Jesus and the power of His resurrection. It is an intimate glimpse in to my personal spiritual journey of trials and triumphs, how God speaks to me, and infinitely teaches me to be more like Jesus and less like me.
My desire to write and give a public account of my spiritual journey, did not just start here; it was birthed in me many years ago. However, it was the year 2020, around the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic, that God’s divine direction led me to this broader platform to rebirth More Like Jesus, and continue sharing what He is doing in and through my life for His Glory (See my June 2020 post “More Like Jesus Rebirth”). It is my hope and prayer that my experiences, testimonies and teachable moments will inspire, encourage, edify and lead non-believers to salvation in Christ, and ignite a spirit of excellence in all who are willing to trust God, and allow Him to lovingly direct your path.
This journey is not easy. I have and will again, stumble and even fall along the way. However, Romans 8:1 tells me that there is no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” Therefore, I am determined with God’s help, to get back up every time I fall, and continue on this narrow path because I believe by faith, that it leads to the promise land. I know that I will never in this life be sinless; however, on this road, I learn to sin less, love more, give more and forgive with a sincere heart.
Thank you for visiting. I pray that God will reveal something here that will ignite a fire in you to want to know Jesus in a more intimate way. I pray that it gives you strength and courage to truly forget those things that are behind you, and press your way to a free life in Christ Jesus.
